Mahalo Chicago

Aloha kakou! Last week, I had the chance to have a mini taste of Hawaii. While the actual islands have been on my list to visit, this was about the closest I could get for the time being... a little restaurant in the heart of Wicker Park called Mahalo. I recently heard about the opening and new I had to head over with my camera in tow. I mean, can we talk about this amazing decor? I'm in heaven - er - I mean, Hawaii!

I met up with the wonderful Sarah and Megan and first things first, we ordered our cocktails. They had a lot of cute options to choose from including the Hula Kula, Mai Tai and Pina Colada. I went with the first option, Hula Kula, made with gin, green chartreuse, pineapple and lime juice. Just thinking about it makes me ready for another round of this refreshing cocktail!

There was cute signage and decor around every corner. This sign was one of my favorites! It added the perfect touch of whimsy to the tropical space. I mean, who doesn't love a pink neon sign? It was especially great to have a space that had white washed tables and benches - it made taking photos that much easier!

All I have to say about this is: Fries before guys.

Have you been to Mahalo yet or have I convinced you to go? Can't wait to hear about your experience!
