Chicago Guide Vol. 3: Best Spa Services in Chicago

It's that time again...for another Chicago Guide. This time it's featuring two of my favorite topics beauty and spa locations. Hellooo relaxation! If you're from Chicago or visit often, you know that we have so many hotels to choose from. From major chains to boutique hotels, they are seriously around every corner. I took a trip to some of the most well-known hotels that also have spas, as well as a few boutique beauty locations to bring you my recommended services.

Spa at JW Chicago
My family is pretty brand loyal to Marriott, so getting the chance to actually experience their new spa at the JW Chicago was heaven. First, it is huge! I mean it basically takes up the entire bottom floor of their hotel. Filled with a gorgeous spa shop, pool, fitness center, sauna and showers - this spa is meant for spending your entire day in relaxation. I tried their Purifying HydraFacial. My skin instantly felt cleaner and healthier thanks to a deep clean. However, if you're not into all the bells and whistles just go with the Signature Organic Facial that alleviates the fancy machine and provides for more of a routine facial.

Recommended Service: Purifying HydraFacial or Signature Organic Facial
Location: The Loop (located in the JW Marriott)

Spa at Dana
I'm going to tell you straight up, Spa at Dana was the best pedicure I ever received. They did an amazing job shaping my nails and the polish lasted much longer than usual. I'm definitely heading back there again soon to fix up my toesies and get them all set for winter a.k.a boot weather. If you're looking to head in there over the next few weeks, make sure to check out their Apple Cider Mani/Pedi - how perfect is that for fall?

Recommended Service: Manicure and Pedicure
Location: River North (located in the dana hotel)

Studio WithIn Salon & Spa
Located in the Lincoln Park/Lakeview area, Studio WithIn was just the escape I needed after a long work day. Upon entering I was greeted with cinnamon tea and a variety of magazines to cozy up to. Quite delicious! Next, we headed down the spiral staircase and prepared for my massage. You guys, my masseuse, Jessica, did an amazing job. I'm telling you I've received massages before, but she was great about asking my preferences and even let me choose my essential oil! I'm also not a huge fan of being totally oiled/lotion up and Studio WithIn did not get all crazy with the lotion which was just perfect.

Recommended Service: Relaxation Massage
Location: Lincoln Park

You might remember from this post I had my first body scrub at TheWit. It was quite the experience! haha For the full run down, head back to my post, but this is definitely a great service to get done now that the weather is changing. It helps exfoliate and rehydrate dry skin. I recommend trying out one of Spa@theWit's seasonal scrub specials.

Recommended Service: Body Scrub
Location: The Loop (located in theWit hotel)

Cowshed at Soho House Chicago
If you're familiar with Soho House in the West Loop, you should also be familiar with their cute little spa, Cowshed. I have yet to visit, but I've heard rave reviews about their Pretty Parties. If you're looking for a fun afternoon with the girls, this is the spot to do just that. The service includes a complimentary glass of prosecco and two half hour treatments including speedy facial, pedicure, manicure and back massage. There are also food options from The Allis and gift bags for all guest! Sign me up! And girls.... who's coming with me?

Recommended Service: Pretty Party
Location: West Loop

  1. I am saving this for the upcoming months! Shawn and I love trying out new spas when the weather gets too chilly to do anything outdoors. I have really been wanting to try the Cowshed - I have heard such great things! Hope you have a great Monday! XO

  2. I love this guide! :-) Super helpful for our next visit to Chicago! Thank you!
