Day to Night: Hilary Rushford // Dean Street Society

Monday, March 9, 2015

When I was trying to think of my next Day to Night look, it dawned on me I should showcase one of my favorite bloggers/entrepreneurs/stylists (and BFF, she just doesn't know it, yet) - Hilary Rushford of Dean Street Society. She creates beautiful looks that are attainable to all of her readers. One of my favorite things she promotes on her Instagram is her Style Me series where she creates a board of outfit inspiration at the beginning of each month for day by day looks. February had challenges like, poised in polka dots, vintage vixen, color block babe and lady in red - just to name a few. Such an genius way to remix your wardrobe just when you think you're out of options.

Since the boyfriend and distressed jean are in for the spring/summer months, I thought I'd show you how to take Hilary's flirty boyfriend jean look from day to night. Simple changes to take you through all 24 hours plus an excuse to buy a new pair of jeans. So, let's get to it!

Polka Dot Blouse | Boyfriend Jean (similar) | Belt (similar & similar)
Day: Earrings | Bracelet | Clutch (similar) | Flats (similar & splurge)
Night: Necklace | Purse | Heels
Try your hand at recreating Hilary's look. Simply switch out your flats for a heel and take off the statement bracelet and replace it with a statement necklace. Easy peasy!
