Instead of my Insta Obsession, I'm taking you on a health/beauty route this morning. Recently, I've been scouring the web for ways to get my skin to look blemish free. While I wish it was as easy as snapping my fingers - I've quickly learned it's definitely not. Since I've started my research, I came across several websites showing valuable fruits and vegetables that are great for helping with different beauty needs. My hope is not only will they help with my physical appearance but lend in hand in making me feel healthier all around.  I rounded up my top eight go to items below and hope they will help you too!

1. Wild Salmon - Salmon is great if you are looking to make your hair shiny and skin supple because of the Omega-3 fatty acids. Try it seasoned and with some asparagus or green beans and you've got a great dinner on your hands!

2. Almonds - Almonds are one of your best sources for Vitamin E (second to coconut). Easily bring them in a bag to work or toss them in a salad. They are the perfect little snack when eaten in moderation, because they are dense in calories like many other nuts.

3. Coconut - Coconut oil is full of Vitamin E, too, which is great for moisturizing and nourishing your skin. It can also be used as a frizz decreasing hair mask or as an alternative to shaving cream. Just be cautious not to use too much on your hair or it can leave your locks looking greasy.

4. Dark Chocolate - dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa content will not only help improve your mood, but contains a variety of antioxidants that help improve complexion, keep skin looking smooth and younger, and help protect you from minor UV rays (Mind you it should never be used instead of sunscreen!). Always love another excuse to eat more chocolate :)

5. Yogurt - yogurt is actually higher in calcium than milk - thus, it's great for strengthening your nails, teeth, and improving posture (bone health).  If you don't like yogurt plain, try adding it to a smoothie for another extra boost!

6. Avocado - avocado is superfood for keeping your skin plump and smooth. It's rich in protective antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Try using it in place of mayo on your sandwich or whip up half an avocado and toss it in your next smoothie. Don't forget to keep the core in the other half to help keep it fresher, longer!

7. Water - water is the key to helping with all around wellness. Do your best to have at least eight glasses each day. Grab a water bottle and keep filling it up through out the day. Set water goals for yourself and do you best to full fill each goal every day.

8. Walnuts - walnuts help to resist age spots and sagging skin. They can also make your scalp and hair healthy. Don't forget to pack walnuts - along with your almonds - in your lunch as a healthy midday snack!
