INSPIRED BY: KENTUCKY DERBY

Monday, May 5, 2014
Since the Kentucky Derby was this past weekend, I couldn't pass up a chance to create two adorable looks inspired by the event. Florals are so in this spring/summer and are available everywhere! I love it! I really love the midi skirt trend, too. As shown below, pair it with a plain top and you are set. It's one of those easily examples of how to dress up an item or make it casual. If you aren't into a two piece outfit- a dress is perfect. This teal/green dress hugs you in all the right places and provides enough of a sleeve to cover your shoulders. I can't forget these nude heels either. I just bought them from Kohl's and would totally sleep in them if it was acceptable. (Stay tuned for how I pair them in a later post with my graduation dress) Pair both of these options with a cute sun hat, which you can use again for a day at the beach, and you'll be derby ready for another sunny spring day!

Option 1: Lace Tee | Floral Midi Skirt | Purple Necklace | Sun Hat | Nude Sandals
Option 2: Tan Clutch | Polka Dot Sun Hat | Teal Dress | Nude Sandals

How awesome were these free printables from Hostess with the Mostess? I'm obsessed with this graphic design!
Did you have a Kentucky Derby party you attended? What did you wear?
