Prepare yourselves: it's red carpet season! I'm already behind on one recap (The People's Choice Awards), so now I'll have to make sure I step it up and keep up with all the fashion this season! First up (on the LBB that is...), the 2013 Golden Globes, hosted by the hilarious duo Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. I apologize now for the long post ahead. I got a bit excited and couldn't decided on only a few looks!

The Golden Globes recognize the wonderful talent of those in foreign and domestic
film and television by the members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Dynamic hosting duo, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler
arriving on the red carpet. Gorgeous!

True Red
Jennifer Lawrence, Zooey Dechanel, Claire Danes, Melissa Rauch and Jennifer Garner not quite blending in with the red carpet!
First up, the color we mange to always see, red. You can't go wrong in this sexy, eye catching color. The style and cut of each dress was great on all. However, by favorite was Jennifer Garner. What can I say? I'm a sucker for glitter! I was so excited to see Jennifer Lawrence rocking a classic style, even while battling the nasty flu. What a prefect dress to win a Globe in?! Did anyone catch Zooey Dechanel's adorable manicure?
Little Black Dress
Zosia Mamet, Giuliana Rancic, Katharine McPhee, Emily Deschanel, Sarah Hyland, Eva Longoria, Kristin Wiig, Adele, Debra Messing, and Kate Hudson all showing their own take on the LBD.
The favorite of the Little Black Blog - the Little Black Dress, of course! If you thought you could only do one style in black you are totally mistaking! I will say, I was not a huge fan of several of these like Giuliana, Katharine, or Debra. Also, did anyone else think Sarah Hylands head looked huge? (Yes, even bigger then her obviously pushed up boobs) She just looked a little off. She has such a young and fresh face and could have picked out anything! It was great seeing Adele back, post baby bod. Surprise! She wore black... again. Come on girl! Show us something else next time. Kate Hudson making all the boys stare, per usual. Loveee it! Besides the ones I named, I enjoyed the LBD and was impressed with the different design elements that each took on.

Natural Beige

Anne Hathaway, Isla Fisher, Amy Adams, Connie Britton, Kaley Cuoco, Nicole Richie, Maria Munnos, and Megan Fox looked stunning in their skin tone  gowns.
It was au natural on the second half of the red carpet! From the looks of it, it seems as thought half wore black and the other half wore beige/nude. Why is everyone so afraid of color?! But kudos to them because it worked out in their favor this time and they looked gorgeous (except Kaley Cuoco. Lose the lipstick, please)! Anne Hathaway and Isla Fisher were my favorites in this category. They never seem to let  me down! I would have liked to see a necklace or some sort of statement piece on Hathaway to add a little something. I also enjoyed Nicole Richie's gown. Usually I am not a fan of pastel colored lace, but it grew on me! It was great to see her step out in something fitted and bright- instead of the usual oversized outfits. Megan Fox looking gorgeous and posing like a weirdy with her hubby. Please stop getting lip injections. Pretty soon we won't be able to see your face.

Lace on Lace

Jennifer Lopez, Kerry Washington, Amanda Seyfried, and Thandie Newton showing one
of the latest trends on the red carpet. Stunning!
This trend is similar to the beige category above. These stars opted to show a little more skin. Jennifer Lopez looked gorgeous, but this is exactly what I would have guessed her to wear. I'm bored with her look. I will say, her gown, by Zuhair Murad, was made with except craftsmanship and design. It matched her skin tone perfectly and even looked painted on. My favorite out of the four would have to be Amanda Seyfried. I think a pop of lip color really could have put it over the edge, though. Kerry Washington also looked great, but I lose interest in the dress after it hits her knees and the underlay is gone. If it was a bit fuller at the bottom and continued with the underlay - it would have been brilliant. Last, Thandie Newton's dress didn't do much for me. She could have stepped it up and gone for a dressier option. (I don't even know who she is...)

Gold Accents

Carly Steel, Julianne Hough, and Michelle Dockery adding a touch of gold to their winter white gowns.
This was definitely another one of my favorite trends of the night. These ladies all looked stunning, but my favorite was Julianne Hough. Her makeup was perfect with her dress. It was a fresh, young, rock princess look. The gold was a great emphasis in all the right area for these women. You can't go wrong with simple white and a touch of gold to add some pizzaz. This is the kind of surprise I love seeing on the red carpet!

Morena Baccarin, Sally Field, and Taylor Swift showing a darker side on the red carpet.
To the dark side! I was expecting to see a lot more of the darker jewel tones this year. I like the black detailing down the center of Morena Baccarin's dress, but I didn't like the black cut at the bottom. I think this dress would have been much prettier if it was all black with the additional detailing down the center. Next, Sally Field picked an excellent color. I think this dress was great for her especially for her age. If the neckline were any lower, it would not have worked. I was unimpressed with Taylor Swift's choice gown after she just stepped out in such a gorgeous white ensemble to the People's Choice Awards. This dress makes her look to matronly. Great color, just not the right fit.

Accessorie Alert: Box Clutch

Kelly Osborn, Hayden Panettiere, Ariel Winter, and  Anna Gunn showing off their box clutches
on the red carpet. Have they convinced you to join the trend?
Did you spot all of the box clutches on the red carpet? There were so many to choose from last night! I love this accessory. Just like any purse, it can always be that finalizing touch to any outfit. These ladies picked the perfect accent to their gowns. Except, Kelly Osborn, her's didn't do it for me. Boringggg. Good thing she has purple hair or we'd probably forget about her. Hayden was so proud of hers, she just had to show it off!

Shaun Robinson, Jessica Alba, Olivia Munn, and Miss Golden Globes Francesca Eastwood arriving to the awards.
If you made it this far, thanks for staying with me! My favorite, favorite, favorite in this loose ends category is Shaun Robinson's gorgeous emerald green gown. This color is to die for. Jessica Alba looked great in her coral colored gown. Her skin tone was just enough to prevent her from blending in. But, that purse. I think she accidentally grabbed her daughters stuffed animal. What was she thinking? Olivia Munn chose a bit more casual option and was a little too spray tanned for my liking. Speaking of spray tans, did you catch Lea Michelle's stage 20 spray tan? Shoot. Last, but certainly not least, Miss Golden Globes, Francesca Eastwood looking great upon her arrival to the awards. Eastwood and Michael J. Fox's son, Sam Fox, got the great pleasure of escorting winners off the stage after they received their awards and made their 50 min speech. What a stellar job that would be! She is the daughter of Clint Eastwood and can be seen on the E! reality show Mrs. Eastwood and Company, where they profile the life of her family.

And this is only the beginning of award season! Wowza.
