I am so excited for this post! The Country Music Awards are my favorite awards to watch. They were held this year at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The music is incredible, the stars are gorgeous, and performances are outstanding. I wish I could of been there to see such wonderful talent live, buttt instead I have to be at college and watch it from a T.V. I decided to do something like the Oscars post and show several of the outfits from the CMA Awards. I promise there will be more than just Carrie Underwood's 11 - yes 11 - dress changes. (even though each one was beautiful!) On to the fashion!!

Carrie Underwood's 11 Dresses
(not in the same order as they were worn)

Arriving on the CMA red carpet in a gold ombre Reem Acra, preforming "Remind Me" with co-host Brad Paisley in a Tony Ward Couture gown with a sexy thigh high slit, and along side Ms. Piggy in a light pink Cengiz Abazoglu dress. She looks awesome in the first two dresses.
Carrie in a coral Georges Chakra Couture dress (eh, not fan), along side co host Brad Paisley in another Georges Chakra Couture dress, and wearing another white asymmetrical Cengiz Abazoglu dress (love this one!)
Carrie wearing a black cropped tuxedo jacket, fedora, and shorts by Nikki Rich, hosting in a full length embellished gown by Jean Fares Couture(love the hair!), and in a beautiful floral, strapless Zuhair Murad gown with beading at the waist. This last dress is just so darn pretty.
Donning a rocker chic short black dress with chains by Mandalay and messing
around with co-host Brad Paisley in a brown sequin short dress.

Now on to the other lovely country stars of the night! I split them up by how I personally like them, couples, gentlemen, and a few others. Hopefully you will still enjoy the comments/concerns for these next few (or a lot of) stars.
Singers Taylor Swift, Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, and Martina McBride.

Taylor's dress was very light and pretty. It was fitting but nothing to revealing, which I really like and was age appropriate. I just wish these was a little but of a darker shade because it washes her and makes her look lighter. However, she did look fabulous receiving her second Entertainer of the Year award! Next, I really loved Jennifer's dress. It was tied for my favorite along with the gold sequin dress Carrie Underwood was wearing upon arrival. I thought this was a perfect choice for her. It showed off her shoulders and you could still see her slim figure because of the neckline. A Congrats to Sugarland for receiving Vocal Duo of the Year! Last, I liked Martina's look because it wasn't the standard gown. I think the all black looked classy but the sequin jacket added some sparkle. I also thought she did great adding subtle color with her red shoes and green earrings. She looks young and beautiful!

Singer LeAnn Rimes, actress Emily VanCamp from Revenge, and Sara Evans
Quite honestly I only "like" Emily's dress out of these three. The others were not quite a "like", but not quite one I "hated". I didn't like LeAnn's dress because of those icky ruffles. I personally thing LeAnn needs to gain more weight so she doesn't need these darn ruffles to swallow her. Next, Emily's dress was great on her. I was kind of cheating by putting her in here because she is not a country singer, but I wanted to show how great she looked. I just wish she did a little more with her hair. Last, Ms. Sara. I don't know how I feel about this one either. I think the color looks great, but if the dress was not a long sleeve one should and just a tank one should, it would have looked a lot more appealing on her body.

What Were They Thinking?
Reba McEntire, Laura Bell Bundy, and The JaneDear Girls
I think the title can speak for itself. Reba's dress isn't so bad except for the fact that it is velvet. Velvet in this mass reminds me of the 90s. Thats not something to be bringing back as a whole dress. Maybe more in a skirt or top. On the other hand, I think the neckline and with the stones was good fit for her. Why in the world would Laura pose like this? I am in love with the top half, but the whole skirt with a slip and spanks - yeah not so much. Totally not appropriate for an event like this. It would be such a complete change if we just sewed the whole seam/slit up. Oh goodness, and these last two are just hidious. Seriously, what were they thinking? Even Katy Perry dresses crazy but still looks fabulous!

Fancy Couples
Tim McGraw with wife Faith Hill, newlyweds Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, and Jason Aldean with his wife Jessica. I am in love with all of these couples. My favorite would have to be Black Shelton and Miranda Lambert who each won Female and Male Vocalist of the Year. Can you say power couple?!
The Band Perry arriving on the red carpet and accepting their award for New Artist of the Year,
Single of the Year, and Song of the Year. She should of wore the red dress the whole time because it is beautiful!

Lady Antebellum looking lovely arriving on the CMA red carpet.
They all dressed perfect for the event. And props to the guys for dressing
in the not-so-average suite and still looking great!

Last but certainly not least: American Idol's Scotty McCreery, studly Luke Bryan, and handsome Jake Owen. These guys look so stinking beautiful. I'm in love. By the way, I call dibs on Luke! look at that smile :)

So I guess we can call this a photography blog post because there are so many photos! Usually I try not to put so many but it was hard for an event like this where there were several stars.
